NH and SH: residential transformation. AGIDI Conference 2022

Roberto Tribuno, Sole Director of Health Invest, was a speaker at the AGIDI (Italian Association of Real Estate Law Jurists) conference on October 20, 2022, dedicated to the transformation of Nursing Homes for the elderly. At the heart of the project is a new design approach that redefines the concept of a care structure: no longer isolated buildings, but spaces integrated into the urban and social fabric, designed to ensure comfort, autonomy, and inclusion.

The new facilities for seniors, which include Nursing Home, Protected Housing for the Elderly (SH), and Outpatient Clinics, focus on innovative layouts, digital technologies, home automation, and energy-efficient materials, with the goal of obtaining LEED certifications and offering sustainable and functional environments.

As Roberto Tribuno points out: “A new way of thinking about facilities dedicated to the elderly is developing, with the aim of expanding the offering and integrating it into society.”

The conference focused on the strategic conversion of unused properties, the revision of formats and layouts, and the affirmation of new care and housing models, such as self-contained apartments, to meet the growing demand for flexible and personalized housing solutions.

A concrete opportunity for the real estate sector, which looks to the redevelopment of abandoned properties and the creation of integrated housing models, in line with the principles of sustainability and urban inclusion.
